Solo Overnight Retreat

We welcome individuals seeking a self-guided retreat focused on spiritual growth and renewal for one night or several.

Overnight retreatants are guests of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, who reside here at St. Mary-on-the-Lake. A retreat offers a sacred time and space to step away from the noise and busyness of daily life, allowing you to return to the source of inner peace and renewed commitment. It is an opportunity to refocus and reconnect within the embrace of divine love.

Accommodations
Guests enjoy private bedrooms and access to shared common spaces within the guest accommodations. Meals are offered through the Sisters’ dining room, with a designated space reserved for retreatants to dine peacefully in the family room. The common spaces may also include a tearoom equipped with a refrigerator, sink, microwave, and dining table for your convenience.

Reservations
To schedule an overnight retreat, please complete the linked form. We will review your inquiry for availability and suitability and respond within three to five business days. You will then receive follow-up information on how to finalize your reservation.

Individual retreatants may stay for up to five nights. Reservations must be made at least one month in advance and can be booked up to six months ahead of your stay.

Kindly note: To ensure your reservation is confirmed, we require prepayment at least three (3) days prior to your arrival. Unfortunately, reservations that are not prepaid will be automatically cancelled.

We truly regret the need for this policy. However, it has become necessary due to an increase in last-minute cancellations and no-shows—which make it difficult for us to offer space fairly to others who may be waiting, as well as the care and preparation involved in welcoming each guest. That said, please know this does not mean your payment is non-refundable. We completely understand that plans can change, and we’re always happy to work with you if something major comes up.
