Sr. Carmel Little, CSJP
Sr. Carmel Little, a Sister of St. Joseph of Peace, brings a lifetime of dedicated ministry, education, and spiritual guidance to her work. With a BA in Education from Seattle University, a Master’s Degree in Religious Education from St. Meinrad College, and a postgraduate diploma in Spiritual Theology from Regis College, Sr. Carmel’s educational journey reflects her commitment to nurturing both faith and learning.
Her ministry includes 17 years of teaching primary school children, primarily first grade, and 10 years as a Pastoral Associate for Faith Formation. Sr. Carmel has also served in leadership roles for her community, including 11 years as Director of Formation and Community Life for the Western Province, eight years as Director of the Peace and Spirituality Center (PSC), and three years as Administrator of St. Mary-on-the-Lake.
A familiar and beloved presence at Peace Day, Sr. Carmel’s connection to the PSC remains close to her heart. She finds great joy and energy in being with women on their spiritual journeys, describing her ministry as a gift and a total grace.
Sr. Carmel’s warmth, wisdom, and passion for spirituality continue to inspire and nourish those she encounters, making every interaction a meaningful encounter with God’s peace.
