Fr. Stephen Sundborg, S.J.

Fr. Steve Sundborg, SJ grew up in the Territory of Alaska where his father was a promoter of Statehood and an author of the Alaska State Constitution. He entered the Jesuits 63 years ago and was ordained in 1974, taught at Jesuit high schools and at Seattle University, served as the provincial superior of the Jesuits of the Northwest, and more recently was the president of Seattle University for 24 years. Since returning from Georgetown University, he serves as chancellor of Seattle University. He holds a doctorate in Spirituality from the Gregorian University in Rome. His principal interest is in developing the understanding and practice of discernment in common.
