Peace Day for Women: Pilgrim in the Modern World, Discovering Pilgrimage in Your Own Context
With Jen Manglos
October 15, 2025
The act of pilgrimage has a storied history, with countless tales of folks walking long distances to places of spiritual significance. However, many could not – for a variety of reasons – embark on a pilgrimage like this. Stations of the Cross and Labyrinths emerged as ways for people to engage in the practice of pilgrimage in their own communities. Today, we continue to translate pilgrimage into our own contexts, responding to the call to wander with God in light of our own realities.
Join pilgrimage guide and spiritual director, Jen Manglos, for a journey to unpack modern day pilgrimage. This experience will bring together the physical and spiritual components of pilgrimage through some gentle walking/movement and an exploration on the nature of pilgrimage today.
Peace Day for Women is a half-day retreat program designed for women who seek to deepen their spiritual lives in the company of others. Each retreat offers a blend of teaching, silent reflection, and group sharing, providing a nurturing space for spiritual growth and connection.
As always, spiritual direction will be available for those seeking deeper personal reflection, with 25-minute sessions offered by our beloved friendĀ Lisa Dennison from SEEL, at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
Please note: While Peace Day for Women sessions are livestreamed, they are not held via Zoom.
