Join us for an inspiring afternoon of reflection, connection, and conversation as we screen The Letter: A Message for Our Earth, the powerful documentary featuring Pope Francis and voices from the margins of the climate crisis.

This moving film brings to life the heart of Laudato Si’ by following environmental leaders from around the world—an Indigenous elder from the Amazon, a youth activist from India, a climate refugee from Senegal, and scientists from Hawaii—as they travel to the Vatican to share their stories and wisdom with Pope Francis.

Following the screening, Marselys Lucero, Congregation of Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace Director of Peace through Justice, will lead a community discussion exploring the film’s themes and how they connect to our Congregation’s charism and the urgent call to care for creation. Together, we’ll reflect on how our faith invites us into deeper solidarity with the Earth and those most impacted by environmental injustice.

This program is open to all who long for a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.

While the movie screening itself cannot be livestreamed due to licensing restrictions, the discussion will be. For those of you who may not be able to join us in person at the Center, we’ll also send out a link to watch the film for free online in advance of the event, so you can view it at your convenience and still participate in the conversation.

This program is offered at no cost, as are all our programs, thanks to the generosity of those who support our ministry. Donations are greatly appreciated to help us continue offering meaningful experiences to the community.
