Holy Hour for Peace at Home
February 28, 2026
In response to a national call to prayer from Archbishop Paul Coakley, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, inviting communities across the country to come together in prayer this month, we warmly invite you to join a gentle Holy Hour for peace — offered in a way that can be prayed right at home.
Inspired by this invitation, the Peace & Spirituality Center has created a gentle, self-guided Holy Hour that can be prayed at home.
This version is intentionally simple and welcoming. Because people pray in different ways, we have prepared two gentle formats for the Holy Hour.
- One follows a Catholic/Christian structure, rooted in the tradition of Eucharistic prayer, Scripture, and intercessions, and is especially suited for those who wish to pray before the Blessed Sacrament or within familiar Christian practices.
- The second offers a more spiritual and reflective format, using silence, guided meditation, readings on human dignity and peace, and space for personal intention. This option is open to people of any faith background — or none — who simply wish to pause, reflect, and hold our world in compassion.
While this resource is completely free, you’ll have the optional opportunity to make a donation when you submit your request. This is entirely voluntary—but it’s also a gentle reminder and invitation. We rely on the support of our community to continue offering meaningful resources and programs rooted in peace, justice, and spiritual renewal.
Thank you so much for your interest and support!
