Holding Space for Grief: A Personal Wind Phone Retreat
Open Dates
Grief does not follow a schedule.
Sometimes what the heart most needs is simply a quiet place to speak.
Whether you choose a full day, half day, or a few hours between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., this personal Wind Phone Retreat is offered for those carrying loss — whether recent or long held. Inspired by the Japanese tradition, this simple, private experience provides a gentle space to speak words that may still be waiting to be said.
A private area will be reserved for you. While no facilitator is present during your time, you will receive a gentle self-guided retreat guide offering optional pathways you may choose to follow, depending on what speaks most to your heart that day.
There is no required program to complete and nothing you are expected to share. This is a quiet, personal experience held in a spirit of compassion and respect for each individual journey.
You are also welcome to explore our peaceful 11-acre grounds, including the prayer labyrinth, peace path through the woods, meditation garden, Virgin Mary’s grotto, and dock overlooking Lake Washington. Time in the chapel or quiet reading in the library may also be woven into your day.
While meals are not provided, access to a refrigerator and microwave is available should you wish to bring food to enjoy during your retreat.
